Hybrid Light has been able to serve its customers worldwide, both small and large alike, since 2003. Being an SBA Small Business as well as a majority woman owned business, Hybrid Light is based in St. George, Utah. Living in this area has allowed the owners, Stephanie and Terry Peterson, to be active in the outdoors, a lifestyle which brought about the need for a lightweight yet durable flashlight. In addition, this flashlight would need to be waterproof and bright enough to shine a great distance. Wanting it to be ready in any situation, there would need to be no worries of dead or dying batteries, or shaking or cranking for limited power. To make this light unique among all others, it would have to offer a hybrid power system that was eco-friendly, using renewable energy.

Being raised on a dairy farm and a former race car driver, Terry is no stranger to hard work and ingenuity. Having an interest in flashlights and gadget invention, he began working on his idea for solar flashlights and knew he wanted to incorporate hybrid technology. Reaching far above the goal, Terry achieved what we now call the Hybrid Light family of products, that include Hybrid Power Solar Lite Flashlight and Solar Lantern that utilize the latest in solar panel storage and LED lighting technology.
