This is a pretty lamp shade and I like the design, but I don't like that the base is hard plastic, not metal. It makes the lamp lighter in terms of weight, but it just looks and feels cheap, if you look close enough. Another con is that there is no separate light switch for the bottom 15W light bulb (which did come with the lamp surprisingly.) There is a master switch to turn power on to all three, and the two on top have there own separate pull chain, but you cannot turn off the bottom light and just turn on one of the two (or both) top lights by themselves.[...]Its a pretty lamp but I had hoped for a more heavier base. I guess you get what you pay for. Its still a beautiful lamp and I hope to get may years of enjoyment from it sitting in my living room.
