I attached this clip-on lamp to the vertical support column of my home work station to illuminate the desktop while working or reading and to point upwards when watching a movie. The lamp provides just the right amount of light without producing a glare or distraction. The designer deserves TWO THUMBS up! I couldn't have found a better lamp for my needs.

We bought these for use at patrons desks in our research library. They were practical but old-fashioned enough in looks to match our furniture and wood-paneled walls. The 20w bulb gives a good white light and minimal heat. So far ,so good. No complaints from the patrons - they seem to like them.

You can adjust the height of the lamp and the direction of the light, so it has many uses, great value and really nice looking lamp

I use it as a drafting table light. It's convenient, acceptable looking and practical. The relatively low brightness means you have to move it around a lot but that's a very minor annoyance, especially since it's a consequence of the lamp not giving off a lot of heat.
